Blancpain GT Series: a third place for Hugo

Last week-end, Hugo de Sadeleer engaged in the first race of the Blancpain GT Series World Challenge Europe at Brands Hatch (Great-Britain). His participation resulted in a great performance as he signed his very first podium. “For R-Motorsport, this week-end is really special, commented Florian Kamelger, Team principal of the racing team. I’m particularly happy about Hugo’s and Aaro’s podium in Silver Cup!

A second race well handled

Driving Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT3 number 62, Hugo and his partner Aaro Vainio faced a rough first race… Due to a technical issue, the duo had to quit the trial. However, Hugo persevered. During the second race, he snatched the 11th place (3rd in Silver Cup), behind his elders Ricky Collard and Marvin Kirchöfer, in 5th position. Both juniors (who made their first appearance in the competition) made it to their category’s podium. “I’m very satisfied of this result, shortened Hugo. We worked hard all week-end to improve our rhythm while driving. There’s still a lot to do. But, for our first week-end, we made a huge step forward!

Blancpain GT Series’ next stage will occur next 11 and 12 May in Silverstone.
