Our winter programme
Dear Friends,
We are already starting our twentieth winter’s season. Time flies ! As always Christian did his best to find convenient dates for our Snow Driving Session, but depending on snow condition, the might need to be changed. At the summer rally we attributed our special price to Peter Schetty member of Honour of our Club since our fondation. Peter had an incredible motorsport career, that was highlighted during the price giving ceremony. He was a works pilot for Abarth and Ferrari in the 60’s and early 70’s. In 1969 he won the European Mountain Championship, after winning 12 of the 12 races driving a Ferrari 212 E subsequently nicknamed “La Montagna”. In 1970 he drove a Ferrari 512 S at Le Mans with Jacky Icks and in 1972 he was the Team Manager of Ferrari that won the F1 world constructor title that year.
The eighteenth Classic Car “Rally & Yachting”, was a big success with a record of 42 cars participating. It started with the registration at our Club House followed by the traditional model boat regattas. Fortunately the sailing boats were replaced by motors boats, that were much easier to operate for us. Saturday drive was superb with Members Guillaume Chauvet expertly navigated by his son Paul, finishing again on the podium. Other Members competing included : Victor Gutzwiller, Ralf Huber, Sonia Mermod, Grégoire Notz, Jérôme & Hugo De Sadeleer, Peter Schetty, Caspar Sturm and Christian Traber. Save the date for next year Rally, which is expected to take place on August 2 & 3 2025.
The Training & Snow-Driving Events on the Saanen Airport, General Assembly and Annual Diner will be held at the following dates :
- 19/01/2025 : Training & Snow-Driving Event with the Gstaad Yacht Club in Saanen
- 14/02/2025 : General Assembly at 17.30 at our Club House
- 15/02/2025 : Yearly Snow-Driving Event followed by Annual Diner at 19.30 at our Club House
- 16/02/2025 : Training & Snow-Driving followed by General Assembly at our Club House

The annuity for 2025 has been set at CHF 2’000.- for individual members and at CHF 3’000.- for couples. Children of Members will be charged CHF 1’000.- this year.
