4 Hours of Portimao – The big finale for Hugo
This week, Hugo de Sadeleer and Team United Autosports went to Portugal for the 4 Hours of Portimao, final event of the season. The Team aims to win the European Le Mans Series.
A thrilling end of season
For his first season in endurance, Hugo could not hope for better. Launched last April at the Silverstone circuit, the European Le Mans Series‘ 2017 season was exceptional for the young Swiss driver, who has already won twice the first step of the podium. This last round could indeed see him glean the title of his category.
Thus, it will be necessary to win on the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve circuit, but also count on a misstep of the Oreca 07-Gibson n°22 of G-Drive Racing. This is a real challenge for Hugo and his teammates in Portugal.
At the dawn of the 4 Hours of Portimao, Hugo said : “I think we can be proud of what we’ve achieved so far this season. I wasn’t expecting to win my first endurance race, let alone to be battling for the championship. Fortunately, we are in contention for the championship, 19 points clear from third and fully focused on winning the last race of the season.”
