A victory in the 45 min Pit Stop Race for Jerome at the Radical Challenge
This last weekend, the Radical Challenge and Radical SR1 Cup took place to Silverstone GP for the fourth round of their 2021 season. Six races on two days and 6 different winners emerge from bumper Silverstone GP grid among 40 entrants in the running.
A first race on difficult ground
At the first race, Jerome De Sadeleer had secured pole for the race, but the forecast was right to his first place. Indeed, the track was mainly wet, but drying in places. So, the tyre choice among competitors made the difference. James Sweetnam had started on slicks and was ahead by the end of lap three, taking his maiden victory.
Jerome comments finally came home sixth for this first race of the weekend, his comment: “Totally the wrong strategy, I underestimated just how slow it would get on wets.”
But it was just about race among the 6 main races of the weekend and nothing was decided yet for Jerome!
Finally a victory for Jerome at the last race !
The weekend ended with the 45 min Pit Stop Race. After going wheel to wheel with Mark Richards for the first half lap, Jerome took the head of the pack. He won the race with 20 seconds clear from his competitors ! A nice job !
“A clean start, a clean stop and I didn’t know how far back Mark was really,” said Jerome De Sadeleer.
To wrap up, a weekend rich in rebounds but it concludes with a victory for Jerome. Congratulations !
