Our winter programme

Dear Friends,

Hope you all had a successful season. As always send us your personal racing pictures (third party picture might incorporate some copyrights duties). Christian did his best to find convenient dates fo our Snow Driving Session, but depending on snow condition, they might need to be changed. We will be dearly missing Claude Picasso, his radiant smile and sunny personality, who passed away this summer. He was an early member of our Club, one of the few driving his oldtimers on the Saanen track and a great guest at our annual party.

The seventeenth Classic Car “Rally & Yachting” was a big success with a record 33 cars participating. It started with the registration at our Club House but the traditional model boat regattas had to be cancelled due to heavy rain. Saturday drive was superb with Members Guillaume Chauvet, Victor Gutzwiller and Caspar Sturm finishing on the podium at the GYC gala diner. Other Members competing included : Tiziano Carugati & Sonia Mermod, Pierre Mirabaud, Grégoire Notz, Stanislas & Isabelle de Sadeleer. Save the date for next year Rally, which is expected to take place on August 2 & 3, 2024.

The Training & Snow-Driving Events on the Saanen Airport, General Assembly and Annual Dinner will be held at the following dates :

13/01/2024: Training & Snow-Driving Event with the Gstaad Yacht Club in Saanen.
23/02/2024: Training & Snow-Driving followed by General Assembly at our Club House.
24/02/2024: Yearly Snow-Driving Event followed by Annual Diner at 19.30 at our Club House.
Members are welcomed to invite friends to our diner (CHF 100.- charge per guest).

Please make sure to return the attached answer-forms, and to review the safety procedure instruction, which are also enclosed with the agenda of the General Assembly 2024.

The annuity for 2024 has been set at CHF 2’000.- for individual members and at CHF 3’000.- for couples. Children of Members will be charged CHF 1’000.- this year.
