Hugo de Sadeleer at 4 Hours Spa-Francorchamps: His team narrowly missed the podium

This weekend, Hugo and his team participated at the 4 Hours of Spa -Francorchamps. Second position on the grid, United Autosports No. 32 car finished fourth after a thrilling race. A lot happened on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The safety car had to intervene twice and there was three neutralization “Full Course Yellow”.

In the lead trio most of the race, Hugo de Sadeleer and his team had to leave the podium to their competitors, after several intense duels and long pit stops. Hugo de Sadeleer made an excellent start and placed himself first of the race, only half a lap after the start. Then, the Swiss was overtaken by Jonathan Hirschi and his Oreca Graff #39.

It’s a shame we didn’t get what we deserved in terms of a podium finish. We all drove well and the team excelled. I didn’t expect to get in to the lead at the start so that was a nice surprise” confided Hugo.

Filipe Albuquerque and his Ligier United Autosports #32 finished fourth, only 17 seconds behind the winner. G-Drive Racing is only 18 points ahead from United Autosports and his trio Filipe Albuquerque / Hugo of Sadeleer / Will Owen.

The final will be held on October 22nd in Portimao. Hugo de Sadeleer and his team are still in the race to win the title.
