Radical Challenge at Oulton Park – A splendid victory from Jerome during first race

This week-end, Jerome signed a great performance during the mid-season rounds of the Radical Challenge at Oulton Park (Britain). The Swish pilot won the first endurance trial during which he dominated his rival: Dominik Jackson. Despite a fourth place during the last race, Jerome made it to the podium during the sprint race.  He commented:

I didn’t have a great qualifying, but I had the success seconds to my advantage. It was a tricky race, there was a dry line appearing on the last lap. There was a lot of things to manage, but the team gave me good information over the radio and we had a great race.”

During a thrilling confrontation with the finest of the competition, Jerome snatched the first place in the first 50 minutes endurance race. As the climate conditions were changing for the worst, Jerome used the heavy rain to his advantage. In spite of Dominik Jackson’s and Joe Stables’ successive attacks, Jerome brilliantly kept his first place.

Later, Jerome participated in the sprint race. As always, he made a great start. While Jerome tried to best Jac Constable for first place, Dominik Jackson used an opening and made it to the first place. Being fourth, Jerome successfully overcame his rival Mark Richard on lap six before finishing third, only a second behind the first two places of the trial.

As third race unfolded, Jerome was in the wake of Dominik Jackson. Unfortunately, the Swish pilot was held up by a penalty. However, Jerome classified fourth ahead of Joe Stables.

Next round of the Radical Challenge: next August 17 and 18 in the mythical circuit of Silverstone (UK) where Jerome will try to best his rivals.
