Hugo de Sadeleer at the start of the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours

As he’s been accumulating great performances, Hugo made a remarkable entry in 2019 season. Last week, he triumphed in Zandvoort by accomplishing his best performance in Blancpain GT World Challenge yet : a victory in his category and a sixth position overall. As for now, the Swish driver and his partner, Aaro Vainio, are second in Silver Cup‘s rankings, just 15 points behind the first place.

For Hugo and his team, R-Motorsport, this 71th edition of the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours of Spa is a golden opportunity to top the provisional rankings of his category. Meet him next July 23 to 28 at the legendary Belgium circuit.

Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours : a historical event

Known for its difficult and technical track, Spa-Francorchamps and its mythical trials are clearly unmissable events. This seven kilometers long circuit will host this week-end the seventh round of the Blancpain GT World Challenge with 35 opposing teams and 72 cars. Besides, the place has a particular signification for Hugo. It was here that we won his very first victory of his career in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0.

Hoping to repeat this success, Hugo will compete with his Finnish partner, Aaro Vainio, but also with Ricky Collard and Ferdinand von Habsurg. All four will race in the Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT3 n°62.

Florian Kamelger, Team principal of R-Motorsport, shared :

“With our third car, we’re aiming for a victory in Silver Cup […] The Team’s members are eager to take the challenge of this very special GT3 endurance race.”

Firstly, the qualification trials will begin Thursday. The race itself will occur Saturday at 4 : 30 p.m. The full event will be broadcast live from on www.blancpain-gt-series.com.
